November is my favourite time to be in Naples. While London is cold and the Autumn colours have faded, Naples is still mild but all the tourists have gone. The beauty of Neapolitan skies by the seaside make Naples such a lovely winter destination.
I love the patterns nature creates, especially on urban backdrops. This pattern is romantic with its neutral colours and delicacy. I love the darkness of the bridge road and the tender white of the moss – it reminds me of Japanese Chrysanthemums.
This screen is my favourite piece at the Pre-Raphaelites exhibition at the Tate Britain. The embroidery is incredible. It is so intricate, the colours so sophisticated, the ladies so beautiful and the technique utterly flawless. The show runs till mid January – go!
