Allegra Hicks is the designer and face behind the eponymous international luxury lifestyle brand that is recognised around the world for its beautiful textiles and prints.

Allegra Hicks studied Art and Design in Milan and Brussels. She then moved to New York, working in a contemporary art gallery and becoming assistant of the artist Donald Baechler.

In the 90s, Allegra moved to London and set up her eponymous luxury lifestyle brand, which went on to be recognised the world over for its beautiful prints and patterns. With her design beginnings rooted in interiors – fabrics and rugs - she soon expanded into fashion, designing her first range of Kaftans in 1999. Following high demand for her effortlessly sophisticated clothes, she opened her first store on Chelsea Green.

Today, Allegra Hicks continues to design fabrics and rugs, a home collection, as well as bespoke pieces for private and commercial clients. Her fabric collection is distributed by Lee Jofa in the US, Turnell & Gigon in the UK and Europe, and Tigger Hall in Australia. Her bespoke work includes rugs, wall embroideries and hangings as well as furniture.
Allegra’s latest design collaborations include a range of rugs for The Rug Company, the Lulu capsule collection for online furniture retailer and a jewellery collection with Banneya.

In 2010, Allegra published her latest book ‘An Eye For Design’ with Abrams publishing. The book has been described as “A visual poem and an internal voyage through a designer’s mind which will inspire readers to look at fabrics and interiors in new ways.” Allegra’s style and elegance has drawn attention the world over and she has been recognised for her achievements as a designer. Allegra has won the prestigious US Elle Decor Best Wallpaper Award as well as the Elle Decoration UK’s Best Fabric Award.

Allegra lives between London and Naples.
